I have always loved India and wanted to showcase the country on this blog. I guess bloggers are like artists, we could be egocentric a lot of times and are always writing on impulse. Inspiration, that is what most would refer to it, but it’s simply us doing what we wanted to, right?
A few weeks ago, I watched Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan’s “3 Idiots,” the very first Indian movie I’ve seen, ever. I can’t put into words how awesome the Bollywood movie was, more like far beyond awesome. I haven’t seen a movie as good as this in a very long time. It’s a story about a genius orphan who succeeded in conquering austerity in life and love through hard work, sacrifice, and friendship. It’s a cute love story, melodramatic, and mostly comedic. Actors are magnificent; cinematography, superb. Storyline is grandiose if you ask me, but then again each of us has a different concept of reality, which we associate movies with most of the time. The life of the main character, Rancho, isn’t too good to be true, really. With over a billion Indians, what are the odds, right? Oh and one other thing about the movie is it shows rich Indian culture, spirituality, beautiful tourist spots, and probably the fact that Indians are one of the best engineers in the world. We know from history that Indians excelled in Math since ancient times.
